Subject:  August 30th – campaign in Iowa for Barack and his VP choice!

On Saturday, August 30th, Obama supporters like yourself will have the first opportunity to campaign for Barack and his new Vice-Presidential nominee.  This will also be the first chance for you to volunteer for Barack after the excitement of the Democratic National Convention.

Remember, George W. Bush won Iowa’s key electoral votes in 2004 by less than one percentage point.  If three voters per precinct had switched their votes, the state would have gone Democratic.

On Saturday, August 30 please join us at the Obama campaign office at 901 E. Kimberly Road – Unit 22 – in Davenport, Iowa at 11 AM.  Click here for a map. The drive is approximately 3 hours (175 miles) from Chicago.  Once you arrive in Davenport, you will receive a training on canvassing.  You will work until approximately 3 PM and then return to the Davenport office for a meal.  You can then return to Illinois and be home in time to enjoy your Saturday evening.  Please feel free to organize carpools with other Obama supporters and friends!

Please also mark down on your calendars our other scheduled trips
