The public is invited to the next Community Forum of the Naperville Township Democratic Organization to be held at 7:30 PM on Thursday, June 19th, at the City of Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle Street, in Meeting Rooms B & C on the lower level.

Our presentation this month will feature Aurora Director of Communications and Public Relations, Clayton Muhammad.

Mr. Muhammad was recently honored as the northeast Illinois adult winner of the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award from Governor Pat Quinn. He was honored for his work creating and running Boys II Men, a male empowerment initiative that works with boys from prekindergarten through men, conducting post graduate studies to help them shatter stereotypes of what urban boys are meant to be. The organization was founded in 2002 and focuses on helping at-risk youth achieve academic excellence.

We look forward to hearing from Mr. Clayton and, if all goes to plan, from a few of the young men who have participated in the Boys II Men program.
