SUMMARY:We the People March
DESCRIPTION:Chicago We The People Solidarity March\nSaturday September 21\n1pm\nFederal Plaza\, Adams & Dearborn\n \nWe are proud to rally and march in Chicago in solidarity with the “We The People March” in Washington\, DC. Everyone with a conscience – join us! – because silence and inaction are complicity! \nThis Nightmare Must End: In the Name of Humanity\, The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go! \nWe are marching to end concentration camps\, ICE terror\, and ethnic cleansing. No longer can we stomach another migrant child dying and human beings forced to live in shockingly inhumane conditions. To that we say NO MORE!!! \nWe are marching to end the war on science and our environment. As the Amazon burns and ice melts away in Greenland\, climate scientists are being muzzled and pushed out of the federal government. We say NO MORE!!! \nWe are marching against the normalization of murderous white supremacy. We witness shootings in El Paso\, and Gilroy and the list goes on. Millions live in fear. The Muslim ban and religious discrimination against LGBTQ people have been approved by the Supreme Court. Legal protections are being shredded. Traditional checks and balances of power are gone. Courts are being stuffed with Trump judges. A fascist social order is being constructed. We say NO MORE! \nAnd we say no more to waiting for someone to save us. We march not only to say No More! to the crimes. We march to STOP the regime responsible in the only realistic way – by building up our resistance in order to go and stay in the streets in determined\, sustained\, non-violent protest until this catastrophic regime is removed from power. We must learn from the courageous examples of Puerto Rico\, Hong Kong\, Algeria\, Sudan and S. Korea. \nPrepare to Take to the Streets and Stay until Our Demand is Met: The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go! In the Name of Humanity We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America! \nPlease join us. Organizations are encouraged to endorse\, promote\, and join us on Sept. 21. Planning meetings will be held at 7 pm on Monday\, Sept 9\, and Monday\, Sept 16\, at Edgewater Presbyterian Church\, 1020 W. Bryn Mawr\, two blocks east of the Bryn Mawr stop on the Red line. \n  \nClick for more information.
