The brunch will be at the Crowne Plaza\, 3000 S. Dirksen Pkway in Springfield. Number is 217-529-7777. \nThe brunch starts at 8:30 (doors open) and goes until approximately 11:00. Many speakers including VP Joe Biden as keynote speaker. Last year we had 1\,800 and this year they will cram in more. Tickets are $100 and $40. The $100 tickets are for premium seating\, closer to the stage and speakers. The $40 tickets are somewhere else\, no promise on where. In the past we got the premium tables when tickets were $60. With the options now we are giving people options\, so we may not all be together. So far 11 have reserved the $100 tickets and 10 the $40. So we have 9 more $100 tickets to sell. If we get more requests for the $40 tickets we will add another table. Please let me know asap if you would like to go and the ticket you want to purchase.\n\nMost of us go down the night before – Wednesday August 15. DPDC is planning to have a reception that afternoon (Probably 4-7). There will be others from 6 on. Kwame Raoul will have one and the collar county chairs will end the night with a reception from 6-9 at the Crowne Plaza. Information about all these events will be sent out once we know who is attending.\n\nFollowing the brunch some of us go to the state fair for a few hours. In the past we had a Democrat tent where we went for food drinks and speeches. We leave for home about 3 or 4\, but that’s all up to you. We also plan on having DPDC tshirts for sale. We call it March For Our Lives: Road to Change. \nWhen people across the country rallied at the March For Our Lives just over 2 months ago\, we showed our politicians that we refuse to accept gun violence as an unsolvable issue. Now it’s time to turn our energy into action. \nThe Road to Change kicks off on Friday\, June 15 in Chicago\, where we’ll be joining the Peace March\, led by students from St. Sabina Academy.
