SUMMARY:Team QUINN Phone Banking
DESCRIPTION:Fellow Democrats\, \nThe primaries are almost upon us. We have seen from commercials and the news how terrible of a Governor Bruce Rauner would be. Governor Quinn has the character and the values we need leading Illinois. \nAlthough Team Quinn wants to conserve their cash for the general election\, so haven’t bought commercials at this stage\, they do want to get their message out to our base as they go to the polls on the 18th. \nThey are planning 50 person-shifts over 6 sessions to reach out to our voters by phone. Please join us for one of these five weekend or evening shifts. They will be using the automated dialers the Painters District Council 30 have installed at their hall. \n1905 Sequoia Drive\, Suite 201\nAurora\, IL 60506\nSaturday\, March 1\, 10-12\nSaturday\, March 8\, 10-12\nMonday\, March 10\, 6:30-8\nWednesday\, March 12\, 6:30-8\nSaturday\, March 15\, 10-12\nMonday\, March 17\, 6:30-8 \nPlease join us for one or more sessions. SUMMARY:Support Laurie Nowak and Lincoln's Birthday!
DESCRIPTION:Laurie Nowak is one of a only a few Democratic Board members.  While she represents just a small portion of Naperville Township\, It’s important that we help her keep her seat.  Please attend or otherwise support Laurie if possible… \n  \n  \n \n \nElephants are Red\, Donkeys are Blue \nVictory is Sweet\, And So Are You!!! \nBecause we LOVE our volunteers\, join us at a Valentine’s Party to recognize the many hard-working people who help local Democrats achieve VICTORY – Learn more about Democratic initiatives on the County Board\, and what YOU can do to keep the momentum going! \n  \nPlus we’ll be celebrating Lincoln’s birthday! And while we’re at it\, why not renew your New Year’s Resolutions – including the promise to Turn DuPage BLUE!!! \n  \nWhen: Saturday\, February 2/15\, 4pm-7pm \nWhere: Home of The Tomlinsons – 1S500 Taylor Road in Glen Ellyn  \nWhat: Volunteer Appreciation\, Snacks & Drinks\, Lincoln Birthday Cake\, Raffles\, & more! \nCost: None ~ Although donations are always welcome\, of course! \nWho/What to Bring: FRIENDS & FAMILY WELCOME!! Potluck dish to share?? – Optional! \n~ And don’t forget to bring some cash for a chance to win raffle prizes! \nSupporter Donation Levels (Optional):  $50   $100    $250    $500 \nPLEASE RSVP TO MARY LOU AT 773-310-2199 OR MARYLOUVILLANUEVA1@GMAIL.COM \n  \nWHY WE NEED YOUR WHOLE-HEARTED SUPPORT in 2014: \nLaurie is one of the hardest-working elected officials in DuPage\, choosing to be a Full Time Board Member who puts the Community first. She works tirelessly on progressive environmental initiatives\, is an outspoken advocate for government ethics\, and uses compassion and factual information to fight the heroin epidemic. She is also the ONLY Democrat on the DuPage County Board up for re-election this year.  There’s already a militant tea-partier and a “who’s who” corporate lobbyist gearing up to try to take her seat and return DuPage back to the regressive\, entitled\, hands-off status quo. . . \n  \n. . .So if you’re a Democrat in DuPage\, we need YOU and YOUR support every step of the way until victory day! \nGear up to be part of the solution\, and make it YOUR Vow to tell the DuPage GOP\, “Sorry\, but this seat’s taken!” \n  \nDIRECTION CLARIFICATION!: Tomlinson Home is at the intersection of McCormick & Taylor\, 1/2 mile south of Roosevelt Rd and 1/4 mile west of Route 53. \n  \nGoing south on 53 from Roosevelt go through the traffic light at Sheehan and turn right at the next block which is McCormick (not well marked). \n  \nGoing north on 53 from Butterfield turn left at the light at 22nd street/Buckingham\, drive ¼ mile to Taylor and turn right.  Taylor winds through 2 stop signs before ending at the intersection with McCormick. \n \n

SUMMARY:NTDO Monthly Social Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Now that we’ve all hopefully spent the holidays with friends and relatives\, and enjoyed ringing in the new year\, come gather with your friends in the NTDO for the first monthly social of 2014.   It will be an opportunity to share good times and get to know the people who will all be working towards making a difference\, for our community\, our State\, and our Country in the coming year. \nOn the second Thursday of each month\, we meet at a different local establishment in Naperville Township… this month\, at La Hacienda\, on 75th Street in Naperville for some of the best Mexican dishes in the area.  Everyone pays their own way\, but the fun and camaraderie are priceless. \nAs usual\, please respond to Julie Federico\, our monthly social coordinator\, by 2:00pm on the day of the event\, with a count of how many will be attending.  This is important in ensuring the restaurant can accommodate as many of us as possible.  You can email or text Julie at:  oldmovies@sbcglobal.net  or  630-781-2241.  Hope to see you then. \n[ NOTE: Though it’s a little unclear\, when you look at the Google map below you might be tempted to think the restaurant is on the north side of 75th Street.  It’s actually on the south side of 75th.  Don’t be confused.  Steve]
