This is a non-profit 501c3\, and they are accepting donations. You can donate on their facebook page\, Facebook.com/HopeDefinedProject. \nTheir fundraiser is at The Wise Boxer Pour House 16 W. Jefferson Ave. Naperville\, IL 60540 on November 14th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. For a $50 donation at the door there will be food\, drinks\, speakers\, and a video screening about our project.  Larger donations carry even more exciting benefits.  All donations go to the support of teen suicide awareness.

DESCRIPTION:I will be setting up volunteer meet up opportunities to walk door to door collecting signatures for Congressman Foster on the next 3 Saturday mornings\, and I’ll be walking neighborhoods a few weeknights each week from 5pm – 7:30pm. If you want to join me\, I’d be happy to meet up.\n \nOur first big volunteer meet up will be Saturday\, October 26 at 9am at Einstein Bagels\, 22 W Jackson Ave\, Naperville (downtown Naperville). The Congressman will be there to rally the troops!\n \n\n\nWalking doors with targeted lists of registered voters is the best way to collect valid signatures. I walked a Naperville neighborhood on Wednesday night and was able to hit 56 doors and collect 25 signatures in 2.5 hours. Eagle Street\, in Meeting Rooms B & C on the lower level. \nWe will hear from Congressman Bill Foster\, followed by a presentation from Naperville attorney Shawn Collins. \nShawn is a lawyer for the people against the corporations and governments that often mistreat them. \nShawn Collins and his ten member law firm has fought for over twenty years for justice and a “day in court” for those who badly need a lawyer\, but often can’t afford one. \nFor example\, Shawn has: \n* successfully argued to the Illinois Supreme Court for the rights of citizens to obtain information from their government;\n* won the dismissal of serious criminal charges which had been brought against DuPage County residents for protesting the Iraq War on a public road;\n* sued to enforce the civil rights of the developmentally disabled\, when the State of Illinois refused to fund their medical care; and\n* on behalf of over 20\,000 citizens\, won federal court orders mandating that corporate polluters clean up the water supplies and neighborhoods that they had contaminated. \nFor his legal work\, Shawn has been recognized as a “Top 100 Trial Lawyer” since 2008 by the American Trial Lawyers Association\, in addition to receiving many other awards and recognitions from his peers.
