You can now apply on-line for an Absentee Ballot in\u00a0<\/span>Illinois. \u00a0Here’s the memo the Election Commission sent around a few weeks back:<\/p>\n

January 22, 2014<\/p>\n

Illinois recently enacted Public Act 98-0115 enabling any registered voter to\u00a0initiate the vote-by-mail process by applying on-line. The online process does not\u00a0require the voter\u2019s signature and completely takes the place of the traditional\u00a0hardcopy application. Additionally, voters in Illinois no longer need an excuse or\u00a0reason to vote absentee in person or by mail.<\/p>\n

The on-line application for DuPage County registered voters can be found at:<\/p>\n

An individual who wishes to vote by mail may complete the electronic application\u00a0online. As soon as the ballots re available (40 days prior to the election) a ballot\u00a0and instructions will be mailed to the voters who have applied either online or\u00a0submitted a completed hardcopy application.<\/p>\n
