I feel a little bit better when I see pieces like this one<\/a>, from Greg Sargent at the Washington Post, chronicling the seemingly endless list of debunked anti-Obamacare ads<\/strong>. \u00a0They all fall apart on examination. \u00a0Some really good work is being done to fight the lies, and it’s possible that people will be made aware of what’s going on and learn the truth.<\/p>\n

You know, the Koch brothers and their allies are, as I said the other day<\/a>, smart and determined and deep-pocketed enough to keep plowing money into this campaign of deception. \u00a0It doesn’t matter to them that the ads are untrue. \u00a0What matters \u00a0to them is that they are effective. \u00a0They have a longer-term agenda. \u00a0It’s based on false history<\/a> and designed to undermine the common good, but they’re quite determined to take us there.<\/p>\n

So it gives me at least a little hope to see the kind of good – and creative! – work that’s being done in the debunking area. \u00a0The antidote video below is straightforward, clear and compelling. \u00a0I wonder what kind of budget – if any – is behind it. \u00a0Does it compare to that of the Kochs? \u00a0That’s the concerning part. \u00a0Mark Twain said, “A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”<\/p>\n
