Yesterday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that yet another of billionaire Bruce Rauner\u2019s firms is tangled up in allegations of fraud.<\/p>\n

GTCR, the private-equity firm that Rauner co-founded, has been accused of running a \u201cdeliberate campaign to conceal the truth\u201d when it sold a healthcare company \u2013 APS Healthcare \u2013 for a whopping $230 million. Within four months of the sale, projected revenues had fallen a shocking 90 percent.<\/p>\n

Rauner\u2019s firm walked away with millions, and left the new owners with broken promises and a failing business.<\/p>\n

Now Bruce Rauner is trying to sell voters on his business resume \u2013 despite the fact it includes one firm that committed some of the worst corporate fraud in history, another taken over by federal regulators in 2012, and now this.<\/p>\n

These shady dealings have made Bruce Rauner quite a bit of money \u2013 and he\u2019s using that vast personal wealth to try and buy the keys to the Executive Mansion.<\/strong>

It’s becoming increasingly clear that Rauner’s leadership style has brought him great personal gain at the expense of others \u2013 yet he is still claiming that he wants to \u201crun Illinois like a business.\u201d<\/p>\n

But when you start to look at his record in business, that notion is downright terrifying.<\/p>\n
