Many thanks, as always, to Dianne<\/a> for this beautiful, enthusiastic coverage of last Sunday’s event<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sullivan\u2019s Steakhouse on the afternoon of the 21st of September was the scene of the fifth annual fundraiser for the Naperville Township Democratic Organization<\/i> and it was a wonderful success! \u00a0We had the Attorney General, Lisa Madigan<\/b>\u00a0as our headliner and Congressman Bill Foster<\/b> was a most \u00a0welcome guest of honor, as well! \u00a0The Pre-Party, which began at 4 PM, offered guests the opportunity to mingle informally with the AG, to visit with her on a variety of issues, and to snap a million cell phone photos! \u00a0Gracious as always, Lisa was very friendly, personable, and approachable! \u00a0Sullivan\u2019s provided us with a round of complementary appetizers and fabulous drink specials!<\/p>\n

\"MadiganFollowing introductory remarks from Congressman Foster and NTDO chair, Dianne McGuire, Lisa spoke at length about the many successful efforts the AG\u2019s office has undertaken to recoup dollars lost by Illinois citizens and to seek damages for harmful actions of some corporations. \u00a0Of special interest were the current investigations and civil proceedings taking place against some for-profit colleges operating within the state.<\/p>\n

\"4_lisa<\/a>A special surprise visitor was Mayor Pradel<\/b>, who had been invited but whose attendance had not been confirmed! \u00a0Guests were so happy to see our beloved Mayor, whose tenure will be ending in April, 2015. \u00a0He spoke informally with guests about his affection and respect for Lisa, mentioning that many in the senior community look upon her much as one would a daughter.<\/p>\n

Sponsors<\/b> were recognized and a great raffle prize was awarded\u2026to Vice Chair Bob Fine, who promptly declined to accept\u2026and then to Secretary Steve Purduski, who promptly donated it to the upcoming fundraiser for Senator Durbin on October 8<\/b>th<\/b><\/a> , right here in Naperville<\/b>!<\/p>\n
