Our host, Ramin Mikaili<\/p><\/div>\n

With almost 60 in attendance, the NTDO Holiday Party was a swinging success! Hosted at the beautiful\u00a0home of NTDO friends and supporters, Ramin Mikaili and Marina Reznitskaya<\/strong><\/em>, everyone enjoyed an\u00a0immense spread of delicious appetizers and holiday treats! Once again calling upon NTDO Secretary,\u00a0Steve Purduski<\/strong><\/em>, and his tech genius, we were able to Skype a visit with Congressman Bill Foster<\/strong><\/em>. Vice\u00a0Chair, Ed Agustin<\/strong><\/em>, was the first to pose a question: \u201cWhen will Donald Trump drop out?\u201d To which\u00a0Foster speculated quite humorously that Trump was really a Democrat out to do irreparable harm to the\u00a0Republican party and would eventually run as a third party candidate! Something to think about…State\u00a0Rep Stephanie Kifowit and State Senator Linda Holmes<\/strong><\/em> both spoke for a few minutes regarding the\u00a0absolute dysfunction in Springfield, compliments of our new governor, Bruce Rauner!<\/p>\n

Receiving special awards this year were Duncan Hughes<\/strong><\/em>, Precinct 10 Committeeman, who received the\u00a0Lifetime Contributor Award and Ron Allen<\/strong><\/em>, Precinct 37 Committeeman, who became our fourth PC of\u00a0the Year! Each received a framed certificate and a copy of the Resolution which was read by Chair\u00a0Dianne McGuire<\/strong><\/em>, highlighting their many achievements. The awards have become a wonderful holiday\u00a0tradition for the NTDO and reflect upon the activities and achievements over the course of the\u00a0preceding year or years, as the case may be.<\/p>\n

In addition to Congressman Foster, Senator Holmes and Representative Kifowit, we were also honored\u00a0to have several current , hopeful, or former elected officials in attendance:<\/p>\n
