\"Invitation_MosqueAlert_SilkRoadRising-page-001\"<\/a>You’ll recall that\u00a0our friends from Silk Road Rising<\/a> have been giving us an inside glimpse at the development of their challenging “Mosque Alert” play over the last 9 months. \u00a0In May of last year they introduced us to some characters in a 20-minute video presentation<\/a>, and in October they shared a read-through of the script<\/a>, presented by students at North Central College (my wife and I went\u00a0– wonderful evening!<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The play is now ready for stage presentation and out of gratitude for our encouragement along the way, Malik has invited NTDO members to enjoy it at a generous discount. \u00a0Here’s a (lightly edited) email Malik sent to me and Dianne last week.<\/p>\n

Good morning Dianne and Steve,<\/p>\n

Well, I can’t believe it but it’s true: “Mosque Alert,” the stage play, will begin performances in\u00a0about two weeks! I want to thank you and everyone at Naperville Democrats for their feedback as we were developing the play; and, much gratitude to Steve for also attending the staged reading at North Central College (the play has changed since then as a result of audience feedback). \u00a0… An invitation is attached<\/a>\u00a0(we run for 6 weeks). …<\/p>\n

“Mosque Alert” will perform at Silk Road Rising in downtown Chicago\u00a0<\/b>(77 W Washington St, Lower Level, Chicago, IL 60602<\/a>)\u00a0from March 24th thru May 1st<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/b>.<\/b>\u00a0Performance times are:<\/p>\n
