\"BillFoster-Portrait2-HR\"<\/a>Congressman Bill Foster<\/a> represents our 11th District in the US Congress. \u00a0And he does a great job for us, speaking passionately and intelligently on economic growth<\/a>, job creation<\/a>,\u00a0gun<\/a> violence<\/a>, civil rights<\/a>, education<\/a> and many more issues of crucial importance to us here in Illinois and to all Americans.<\/p>\n

The GOP has targeted our district and selected Tonia Khouri, a wealthy, ultra-conservative opponent to face him\u00a0(more on her later).<\/p>\n

Now is the time\u00a0for us to stand up for Bill. \u00a0His campaign is gearing up, with phone banking and canvassing efforts<\/strong> from now through November. \u00a0Coming up on the calendar are two events in particular: Saturday, 9\/3, from 11 to 3<\/a>, and Wednesday, 9\/7, from 5 to 8<\/a>. \u00a0Email the campaign’s Field Organizer, Kiran Balan at\u00a0kiran@billfoster.com<\/a> to get more details.<\/p>\n

Also, the campaign is looking to fill a few select fellowship positions<\/strong>. \u00a0This is a great experience, which I can personally vouch for, as my now-away-at-college son\u00a0did it (and really enjoyed it!) last election. \u00a0See the flyer below for more on that.<\/p>\n
