My goal is to provide excellent and efficient roadway service to\u00a0the residents of Naperville and Aurora.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I\u2019ve been an Aurora resident since 1994 and a homeowner since 1997. My involvement within the\u00a0community includes serving as: Democratic Precinct 52 Committeeman of Naperville Township, 3-time Vice President of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) Local 4290, Secretary of the Fox\u00a0River Radio League, Co-Chair of Brockton Court Aurora Summertime Block Party, and member of the\u00a0Georgetown (Aurora) Relief Efforts Neighborhood Organization (GRENO).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I am uniquely qualified to hold the position of Highway Commissioner. As a graduate of American Gas\/Diesel Institute, I hold current Automotive\/Diesel certifications as an ASE Master Auto Technician with\u00a0Advance Engine performance. My mechanical expertise will be essential to the service and maintenance\u00a0of the Township\u2019s roadway vehicles which are used for the following services: blacktop patching and\u00a0sealing, roadside mowing, street sweeping, leaf and brush removal, mulching, snow plowing, and salt\u00a0spreading.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Having attended the College of DuPage for Business Management, I am a small business owner of an\u00a0auto repair shop which has served the Naperville area for the past 10 years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I also manage multiple family-owned rental properties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">My top goals as Highway Commissioner are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Creating a budget that fits within the current economic times by eliminating wasteful\u00a0spending<\/span>. One example is that current equipment maintenance and repairs are being\u00a0outsourced rather than utilizing qualified, internal personnel.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Publicizing current and useful highway information on the Naperville Township website<\/span>. \u00a0This\u00a0is where you as a taxpayer should be able to go to find out where and how your money is being\u00a0spent.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Being an active and responsible member of the Township\u2019s leadership team<\/span>. Having a board\u00a0that is willing to work together to come up with and implement solutions is more productive\u00a0than a board bickering and fighting with each other, and resolving nothing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The motto for our campaign this election is: A.C.T. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Accountability-Communication-Transparency<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">This is how I plan on running my campaign!
