The government is acting in our names.\u00a0 I didn’t vote for him, but it still makes me feel ashamed.\u00a0 We are complicit in this:<\/p>\n

It has now become apparent that our federal government has\u00a0perhaps irrevocably destroyed<\/a>\u00a0the families of hundreds of asylum seekers by ripping children from their parents, then\u00a0destroying the records of which children belong to which parents<\/a>, and losing track in many cases both of the parents and the children involved. If it makes you uncomfortable to have to make excuses for these actions (and that discomfort is entirely appropriate), please let this be your off-ramp.<\/p>\n

Republican office-holders have defended or looked away from the crimes being committed here.\u00a0 They need to lose your support over this.<\/p>\n
