This is our first chance since November 8<\/span><\/span> to start rebuilding our democratically-elected bodies from the ground up.\u00a0 And we could contribute to adding an unprecedented number of Democratic faces to the township governments in our county: \u00a0there currently is a total of ONE elected Dem township official in the entire county.<\/p>\n

Hear from Democratic candidates who are running for the Township boards in Downers Grove, Naperville, Lisle and Milton Townships, and learn how you can help in advance of the April 4 election. Local government is important in our day-to-day lives, but this is also about more than that. It is about building strength for Democrats and progressives from the grassroots level. This President and this Congress did not occur in a vacuum. They have roots in the right wing energy that was sparked by President Obama’s election, and that has changed the landscape of our democracy from the ground up over the last nine years. We have an opportunity right now to start fixing that, and to send a message by adding some unprecedented BLUE to our red townships and county.<\/p>\n
