Save Our Healthcare & Tailgate for Truth<\/u><\/strong><\/div>\n
Thursday morning June 22nd come to the rally hosted by\u00a0Indivisible DuPage, Friends Who March and\u00a0Indivisible Illinois<\/strong>,\u00a0When Illinois Representatives Peter Roskam, Rodney Davis, Randy Hultgren and Adam Kinzinger voted for the AHCA, they let down the very Illinoisans they swore to protect.\u00a0WE WILL NOT FORGET!<\/em>

Event Agenda:<\/u><\/em>
\n10:30 am – 12:00 pm<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Central Park 600 S. Main St. Wheaton, *NE corner of Main St. and Roosevelt\u00a0<\/strong>(new park\u00a0at bottom of hill next to\u00a0Mariano’s – parking available on West side of Main or in the store parking lot)\u00a0<\/em>
\nThis will be the\u00a0Main Event<\/strong>! We will hold a protest in honor of the 23 million American’s (1 million Illinoisians) that Peter Roskam voted to throw off of healthcare protection along with the millions more with pre-existing conditions.\u00a0We will also protest the closed door methods of the Senate Republicans.\u00a0<\/em>
\n10:30 \u2013 11:00 am – Gather and voter registration for DuPage County residents will be available. Bring state issued photo id and proof of residency. Write down your healthcare story and meet others.\u00a0<\/em>

Signs to Bring<\/u><\/em>\u00a0– Choose your message and\/or use\u00a0“Protect Our Care”, “Repeal Replace Roskam 2018”, “Protect Illinois Families,”\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0“Fierce in our Compassion”.<\/strong>\u00a0Make them big so cars driving by can read them, (please be mindful of our non-violent philosophy and aim high with messaging). Our focus will also be on the benefits of ACA and our many pre-existing conditions. Your signs can speak to that as well. Bring American flags too – we are doing this FOR a better America!\u00a0<\/em>
\nWhat to wear<\/u><\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Pink for Planned Parenthood, your Handmaid’s Tale costume, your latest online protest t-shirt purchase…<\/em>
\nHow to Prep<\/u><\/em>\u00a0– There will be media there.\u00a0You\u00a0may<\/u>\u00a0get asked a question or two. Think about what clear and short message you’d like to share. Why are YOU there?\u00a0 Why do YOU resist? Share this event on social media and hand this flyer out to friends and neighbors. Get ready to meet some awesome people!<\/em>
\nWe will have a few speakers and would like to share your stories as well.\u00a0 At the close we will take a group picture with the Mobile Billboard and then those people who can follow the Mobile Billboard to the next location in their vehicles, can “tailgate” over there together.\u00a0<\/em>
\n*If you are able to “tailgate”,\u00a0<\/strong>please\u00a0decorate your cars and\u00a0windows<\/u>\u00a0ahead of time with messages, flags, etc. We will travel (respectfully and carefully) with the truck hosting the mobile billboard.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\nIf you were unable to join us earlier, this will be another great chance to protest with signs, flags, chanting, etc.\u00a0 Again, there will be media presence, so please plan ahead. Bring signs with big print, flags and other items you feel would spread our message and gain attention.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The Mobile Billboard will make its final leg of a four day journey to Federal Plaza, S. Dearborn St, Chicago, IL 60604, arriving at approximately 2:45 pm and ending at 4:15 pm.<\/p>\n
