Join Ameya Pawar<\/a>, 47th Ward alderman and Democratic candidate for Illinois governor, in Naperville on July 24th, as part of the One Illinois Bus Tour. While each area of our state has different needs, local problems become statewide problems. We are all One Illinois.<\/p>\n

Launched in May, the One Illinois Tour is part of Pawar\u2019s effort visit all 102 Illinois counties – not just the urban centers – to address the growing inequities tearing our communities apart. The One Illinois Bus Tour will focus on bridging those divides by visiting twenty cities\u00a0in ten days<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to bring people together around Pawar\u2019s platform, a New Deal for Illinois.<\/p>\n

Since announcing his campaign in January, Pawar has travelled more than 6,000 miles in 40 counties. Inspired by his vision, more than 2,200 people have signed up to volunteer for the campaign to help forge a New Deal for Illinois – one that invests in communities through equitable education funding, expanding access to universal child care, rebuilding our infrastructure and creating thousands of good-paying jobs, and reforming our criminal justice system.<\/p>\n
