Campaign Leadership School, day 1

My name is Melissa Rubio and I’m the collar county organizer with Reclaim Chicago and The People’s Lobby.
It is clearer than ever that Illinois’ suburban and rural towns are in need of investment. However, the folks currently in power are busy giving massive tax breaks to wealthy people and corporations and cutting our public goods down to the bone.
Illinois can be a state that invests in the people and our planet. But, it us up to us to rebuild the power of working and poor folks to reshape democracy in our towns!
That’s why we’re hosting a 2 day campaign leadership school in your area. This two-day training will give you the skills to run grassroots issue and electoral campaigns, or to make major contributions in your community to progressive candidates’ campaigns!

If we are going to take back governing power from the wealthy 1% in Illinois, we must build the movement to un-elect them from the halls of power. Hope to see you on December 2nd and 3rd.
