Our community needs to say HATE HAS NO HOME HERE!

Join us on Tuesday November 26, 2019 at 5-6:30pm at the Dandelion Fountain at Jackson Ave & Webster in front of Nichols Library to rally against racism.

The rain location is the Oliver Hoffman Shelter which is one block west of Dandelion Fountain.  

Community Leaders will speak about where do we go from here:

• Dr. Vince Gaddis is a Professor of History at Benedictine University.
• Marcus Riley is the owner and coach of Flight Athletics and Bolingbrook Jr. Raider Basketball Program. He is a youth mentor, leader, and community advocate. Sadly, he is one of the victims of racial discrimination at Buffalo Wild Wings.
• Tamara Wallace is the mother of child who was discriminated against in the high school.
• Charlotte Droogan is a Black Lives Matter activist from Bolingbrook.
• Ernest Crim III – Ernest is an activist, public speaker, radio commentator and educator from Chicago, who specializes in teaching and speaking about the transformative impact black studies has had on his life, especially as it relates to his infamous hate crime trial from 2016.
• Michael Childress, President of the DuPage, Will, Kane, Kendall branch of the NAACP will give his ideas of next steps.
• Gautam Bhatia will be giving his thoughts of next steps as the chairman of the Aurora Indian American Outreach Advisory Board.
• Abdul Malik Mujahid, leader of large interfaith and Muslim groups.
• Eli Cervantes is the Director of organizing with Southwest Suburban Immigrant Project.

• Candice Adams, candidate for Clerk of the Circuit Court
• Barb O’Meara, candidate for Forest Preserve District 5
