Welcoming the Stranger: Human Rights for Immigrants a Rally with Music. Join Immigrant Solidarity DuPage, the Lombard Mennonite Church, the DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church, National Nurses United, Reclaim DuPage and the Interfaith Workers Justice Network for a special concert, march and rally to boldly express ourselves in love and solidarity with our immigrant brothers and sisters in the heart of Wheaton.
We will rally for human rights for immigrants, against separations, for immigrant solidarity, loving the stranger in our midst and for the dignity, decency and humanity of all in our communities. As ICE attacks on immigrants intensify and the xenophobic rhetoric seeks to divide us, we will not be silent nor complacent. This is the time for opening our hearts, raising our voices and coming together to advance the cause of immigrant justice.
With the music of Dave Martin, and messages from local religious leaders, Cristobal Cavazos from Immigrant Solidarity DuPage, Dan Bailey, local community organizers and activists will stand on the front-line of the struggle breaking the darkness with our light. Adelante!
