January Community Forum…Sex Trafficking: The Myths and Misconceptions

Women at risk 150Attend the next community forum of the Naperville Township Democratic Organization to be held at 7:30 PM on Thursday, January 29th, at the City of Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle Street, in the lunchroom on the lower level.

Following a short business meeting and introductions of candidates for the April 7th election, we will present a program on a topic deserving of much more attention and action: Sex Trafficking: The Myths and Misconceptions! Carole Kerr, Precinct 13 Committeewoman, Sean Tenner, former Naperville resident and founder of the Abolition Institute (www.StoppingSlavery.org), and Ashley Pitariu, of WAR (Women at Risk) will speak of the global increase in sex trafficking, as it is happening both in Chicagoland and internationally, against the backdrop of the global increase in slavery.    WARchestLogo-08 transparent

Merchandise from Naperville’s WAR Chest Boutique, created by women who are living at risk from many forms of slavery and exploitation, will also be displayed and available for purchase.
