Thursday, 7/30/2015 @ 7:30 PM

Please Note: Unfortunately Dr Seawell had some sort of vehicle breakdown on the highway on her way to Thursday night’s meeting and so was unable to join us.  We will reschedule her presentation as soon as we possibly can.

Following a short business meeting, we will hear a presentation entitled, The Impact of Rauner’s Turnaround Agenda on Organized Labor presented by Dr. Amy Seawell, Executive Director of the Illinois Labor History Society.  The ILHS was formed in 1969 and its mission emphasizes the goal of encouraging the preservation and study of labor history materials. Visit their website, www.illinoislaborhistory.org and see how well you do on their labor history quiz! (Hint: Look for the green “Labor History Quiz” button most of the way down the right side).
