NTDO will hold a caucus to slate candidates for the Township Offices.

The NTDO is seeking candidates to run for township offices—Supervisor, Assessor, Clerk, Highway Commissioner, and (four) Trustees—in the April 4, 2017, Consolidated Election.

We’d love to see a Democrat running for each office! Let’s capitalize on the post-election support and energy from new volunteers and folks interested in joining forces.

All candidates must be registered voters and have resided in Naperville Township for one year. Successful candidates will take office May 15, 2017 apart from the Assessor, who takes office Jan 1, 2018.

• Supervisor – Salary (2017) $39,000 plus $500 as Treasurer of the Naperville Road District Funds
  • Benefits = family medical, dental and term life insurance (pay 10% of the premium), and long-term care insurance at no cost; participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund if eligible.
• Assessor – Salary (2017) $112,000
  • Benefits = family medical, dental and term life insurance (pay 10% of the premium), and long-term care insurance at no cost; participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund if eligible.
•  Clerk – Salary (2017) $20,000
  • Benefits = participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund if eligible.
•  Highway Commissioner – Salary (2017) $30,000
  • Benefits = participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund if eligible.
•  Trustee (4 positions) – Salary (2017) $6,500

Your candidacy will be up for nomination at the December 6, 2016, Naperville Township Democratic Organization’s Caucus, to be held in the lower level of the Naperville Civic Center at 7:00 pm. Before that time you’ll need to get preliminary paperwork in order. Information may be found on the State Board of Elections website, and some links to documents are provided.

Please be aware: the candidate’s name should be given in the same form in all of these documents; the inclusion of nicknames is permissible but titles, degrees, or other professional status markers may not be used. This form will be used on the ballot, so use it consistently in all campaign literature and documents.
