Jon Stewart on Wednesday took on attacks from Fox News and other conservatives calling him “dishonest” and celebrating his departure from “The Daily Show” later this year.

The Comedy Central host was particularly taken aback by Fox host Megyn Kelly saying his show often “had no foothold in the facts.”

“No foothold in the facts?” Stewart said, pulling out a white glove and donning the voice of a southern belle. “You have cast aspersions upon my honor! And I demand satisfaction.”

Stewart challenged Fox News to a “lie off,” running a Vine video containing 50 separate clips of the news channel’s spin.

The host shifted gears and took the charge more seriously.

“On the right, they’re pretending that our truthfulness is what’s really important to them, which ironically is not true,” he said. “What matters to the right is discrediting anything that they believe harms their side.”

Stewart lamented that, despite conservatives’ “fucking relentless” cries of civilizational collapse, the right is, by and large, making huge gains in America.

“Fifteen states have approved voter ID laws in the absence of any meangingful evidence of voter fraud; an Oklahoma state House committee voted to ban AP history for not sugarcoating slavery enough; abstinence is approved sex-education; and scientific fact isn’t reported now, it’s debated,” Stewart said.

“Let’s stop pretending that these concessions to the right will at any point sate the beast,” he concluded.
